caregiver training for care for people of all ages

Johnstown People of All Ages

Most people today are extremely busy, and though they would like to, they cannot always stay home with their sick child, bedridden spouse or recovering father due to important commitments at work. Homewatch CareGivers offers an array of affordable services customized for people of all ages; we care for children, but we can also help elderly parents, a mentally challenged young adult, or a spouse after surgery. Complicated pregnancies can prove challenging for a first pregnancy, when it occurs with a second or third child there is a dramatic increase in the need for trained and reliable helping hands. The same flexible home care service you’ve grown to trust in elder care is available for people of all ages dealing with any type of health care or life situation.

Providing relief for you and your family with knowledgeable caregivers is our top priority; the last thing those with a myriad of responsibilities needs is to shoulder a care situation alone, without the support of a caregiving team.  Too many of us don’t know where to turn when a loved one needs assistance and we are unprepared, whether this is due to a last minute change in condition, schedule or if the regular care plan falls through.  We are ready when you are in a crunch, with trained caregiver employees who are fully background checked, bonded and insured.  The personalities of the caregiver and the client are a critical component of the match; we go to great lengths to make sure the pairing will succeed.

Pre Natal / High Risk Pregnancy Care

Health problems can develop during a pregnancy that can make it high-risk; such problems may require some additional assistance in the home. If a doctor’s order limits activities or requires the client to be on bed-rest, our caregivers can help manage the day-to-day tasks around the home, assist with activities of daily living, plan and prepare healthy meals.

Post-Partum and Post Natal Care

The first few days after delivery will be tiring and uncomfortable. Our caregivers can assist with light housekeeping, laundry, healthy meal planning as well as more personal care assistance for you and the new addition to your family. We can help you get the rest you will need to recover for as little or as long as needed to get you on your feet again.

Developmental Disabilities

Developmental Disabilities can cause severe physical or mental impairments that can slow learning, limit mobility, inhibit expression, and make the individual dependent on others for care and assistance. Without a caring and secure environment, those living with developmental disabilities are at an increased risk of compromised health and safety, and are subject to learning and developmental delays. Our caregivers are equipped to promote independence while assisting these clients with the activities of daily such as bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, healthy meals, and more.

Multiple Sclerosis

Encouragement and support from Homewatch CareGivers provides you and your family some relief as you face unique challenges during the advancing stages of Multiple Sclerosis. Our comprehensive personal care plans are customized to individual needs and may include: personal grooming assistance, housekeeping, errands, transportation services, help with medication reminders and nutritional needs, or assistance with the use of new ambulation or transfer devices.

Back Up Care for Children

We know that the average working parent misses 9 days of work annually due to breakdown in childcare arrangements, which is why we want to help handle all your sick, emergency, and pre-planned gaps in care as well as business travel. As the home care company who has specialized in back-up child care for over 5 years, we are uniquely capable of staffing a compassionate and trained caregiver even at the very last minute to care for your child, healthy or mildly ill, in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. Many of our caregivers are mothers and grandmothers and not only have personal experience with caring for the young, but also have been specially trained in child care to make sure that the experience is enriching and enjoyable for all.

Flexible Home Care Services

Our home care service plans are completely customizable to the unique needs of each of our clients. Whether you need only a few hours a week or round the clock care, we can develop a home care service solution to keep you safe at home, where you want to be.
