Nurses and Therapists provide home health care services while Certified Nurse Assistants, Nurse Aides, Home Health Aides and Companions work for home care agencies. The two types of services work hand-in-hand and are complementary. We work together in the home to keep our clients comfortable and safe while helping them recover from an acute illness, injury or manage chronic illness.
Medicare is most often the source of payment for home health care, while private pay and long term care insurance typically fund home care services. Workers’ compensation, Veterans pension benefits, grant funding from disease organizations and Medicaid may also fund home care services.
