National Hospice and Palliative Care Month
11/7/2011
November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month! This year’s theme is We Listen, We Care, which sheds light on the importance hospice and palliative care providers place upon the wishes of those they care for. For those facing serious illnesses, hospice and palliative care offer the best quality services and support. Patients and their families look to these skilled physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, counselors, health aides and clergy to respect their requests and perform services with compassion.
The goal of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month is to increase understanding and awareness of care at the end of life. To learn about the activities and programs held and read the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s proclamation click here.
