Title: CNA Personal Caregiver

Description: The CNA Caregiver reports directly to the Supervisor of Client Care Services. CNA Caregivers provide Nurse Aide I services to the agency’s home care clients, per the agency Client Care Plan. Services may include vital sign monitoring, oral care, decubitus prevention, urinary catheter care, hoyer lift support, assist with perineal care, specimen collection, turning & positioning, respiration counting and pulse measuring, basic wound care, assist with oxygen use and provide weight bearing ambulation assistance. CNA's must also be willing to provide any personal and companion/homemaker services and client transportation as needed.

Requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Nurse Aid I certification by the State of NC. Active status on the NC State Nurse Aid Registry with no findings. One year of experience in the human services/health care field preferred. Valid North Carolina drivers license, active insurance and good driving record.

Title: Personal Care Caregiver

Description: The Personal Care Caregiver reports directly to the Supervisor of Client Care Services. Personal Care Caregivers provide paraprofessional services which include assistance with activities of daily living to the agency’s home care clients, per the agency Client Care Plan. The Personal Caregiver must be willing and able to provide all Companion Care tasks as needed by the client. Personal care duties include assisting with bathing (tub, shower, sponge), assisting with skin, hair and finger and nail care (no clipping), foot, mouth & denture care, electric razor shaving, dressing & feeding the client, providing medication reminders, providing assistance with toileting with urinal, commode or bed pan, ambulation and/or exercises, turning & positioning - basic, transfer to/from wheel chair, assist with respiratory care, transfer assistance (non-weight bearing assistance).

Requirements: Personal Care providers must possess a high school diploma or GED. Personal or work experience as a personal care provider in the human services/health care field preferred.

Title: Companion Caregiver

Description: The Companion Caregiver reports directly to the Supervisor of Client Care Services. Companion Caregivers provide 'non-touch' paraprofessional services to the agency’s home care clients, per the agency Client Care Plan. Duties may include light housekeeping tasks essential to cleanliness & safety, menu planning, meal preparation and serving, laundry and linen changes, transportation to medical appointments, shopping or other errands, provide medication reminders, provide handwashing and dressing assistance, bathing assistance (set up only), conduct in-home safety evaluations, provide general companionship tasks as requested by the client, perform other non-medical, quality of life tasks as agreed to with client.

Requirements: Companion Care Providers must possess a high school diploma or GED. One year of personal or work experience in the human services/health care field preferred.
