Sometimes I am reminded of how grateful I am for the opportunity to serve our community.

I recently attended a healthcare drive by social called “In the Mix.” It was put on by several local healthcare companies in our community, including Brandie and Lorrie from Treasure Valley Hospice who are shown with me in the picture. I drove up in my truck and received a cup of soup, a cookie and some treats! I was also able to catch up with some of these community partners to see how they were doing and how we could help each other during these challenging times.

I was very grateful for those who sponsored this event and took the time organize it and provide some delicious food! As I reflected on it I realized I was really grateful for those who chose to provide a kind service to others in our community! I wasn’t sure I was going to attend because my days are usually pretty busy, but I was really grateful I made the effort to go and connect with people! During this time-- especially when we may be feeling run down and disconnected-- it’s important to remember to just go out and serve someone! It’s amazing how good it feels when we help someone else out. It lifts our mood by having us focus on someone/something else than our own difficulties.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our clients all around the valley; Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, Kuna, Middleton, Emmett. Our caregivers provide such personalized care and service to so many of our seniors in Treasure Valley anywhere from an hour at a time up to 24 hours home care. Remember that care-“giving” is a two-way street so if you receive care, you still have something to give, and if you give care, you still can receive and make someone else feel good.
