Over the course of my 25-year career, I’ve worked for companies such as Rackspace, Wachovia, and Accruent. In 2020, I made the decision to open Homewatch CareGivers of Central Austin to serve those who need assistance with the activities of daily living and build a company where people always come first. Whether I am dealing with a client or an employee, I strive to treat everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion.
The most rewarding part for me is providing a work environment where my employees can volunteer their best every day and in turn, create amazing experiences for the clients they serve.
My approach to home care is largely inspired by my upbringing. As the son and grandson of missionaries, I watched them dedicate their lives to caring for those who were overlooked and too often unloved. I learned the value of serving people selflessly and caring for their basic needs. After watching my parents provide full-time care for my grandmother, I gained a personal insight into the incredible demands that full time caregiving can place on families and loved ones. The caregivers that they hired provided a layer of support and compassion that allowed my parents some freedom to enjoy the simple pleasures of going to the movies together or enjoying a date night - because those that care for others need to be cared for too!
Outside of work, my life revolves around my family. My wife of 17 years, Rebecca, is an artist and a barista. We have two teenage sons, Gabriel and Ethan who I am incredibly proud of. Gabriel loves parkour and is technically gifted. Ethan is an Anime fan and the family comedian. You may spot me around Austin hiking the many trails with my dog or enjoying the river in my kayak. If the weather doesn’t permit, you may spot me binge watching some of my favorite sitcoms.
I look forward to serving you, your family, and your loved ones. It is my personal mission to provide a level of service and care that I would want to receive. We all deserve it.
