Care Available 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week.
"I've been using the services of Homewatch for my mom who lives in Columbus and has COPD and Alzheimer's. I hired Homewatch based on other reviews I read and Im so glad I did. Lauren and Latosha are absolute gems and would do anything for my mom. They treat my mom the same as they would treat their own mother. They have done an outstanding job, and even if my mom doesnt realize it, they are making her life so much easier."

We have a family member who is very near and dear to our hearts. She is a 42 year old woman with a developmental disability that requires round-the-clock care. Our Caregivers are there to ensure that she is eating healthy meals, properly dresses herself, bathes daily, takes her medication, and gets to where she needs to be. Our services are, however, limited to "home care" services and not "home health care" services. Home health care services typically require a nurse or other medical professional who provides medical service. In this particular instance, we work along side our RN to ensure that our family member is taking her proper medication. The nurse stops by her house weekly to check her medical condition and to review the medication administration record our Caregivers fill out daily. We work hand in hand with the nurse to ensure that our family member stays healthy and is taking all her necessary medication.
We understand that you may have questions about the types of services available to keep your family safe and healthy. First, let’s make some distinctions between home care and home healthcare.
After a doctor’s visit or stay in the hospital, skilled care in the home is arranged in order to get you or a loved one back on your feet. Home healthcare includes:
Home care is about sustaining and maintaining your loved one’s quality of life in their home by assisting with activities of daily living:
While a skilled home healthcare professional changes your loved one’s prescriptions, an in-home caregiver helps them remember to take medications day in and day out. A home healthcare agency can change your loved one’s therapy if it’s not working, and an in-home caregiver is there to encourage them to accomplish those therapies. At Homewatch CareGivers' our person-directed approach to caregiving helps an individual to the best of their current abilities so that they continue to feel empowered and fulfilled.
