Meet an Owner: It’s About Hiring the Best People

Proving that you don’t need to have a background in healthcare to be a successful in-home care business owner, Brad Larsen talks about how his experience helps him thrive. Brad co-owns the San Juan Capistrano, CA office with Matt Bailey.

“I think in a lot of ways I was ideally suited for this business,” says the former retail store manager. “I’ve interviewed 10,000 people in my life; I’m pretty good at telling who’s going to make it and who’s not.”

It’s not about being a jack of all trades who can run a business single-handedly but rather being able to hire the best people to shine and therefore help the business succeed.

“I find people that are good at operations, that can do that for our business,” Brad says.

Brad talks candidly about his process in choosing franchising, and selecting Homewatch CareGivers after a lot of research.

“Homewatch CareGivers came out head and shoulders above everybody else,” he says.
