Meet Benjamin Bloom

Benjamin Bloom is the President of Homewatch CareGivers of Oakland. He started the company in February 2016. Ben is a Bay Area native and third generation in his family to own and operate a business on Broadway in downtown Oakland. He has a BA in Economics and an MBA from UC Davis. Ben has been working with the elderly for over 15 years, spanning several disciplines, including financial advising, caregiving, and volunteering. He has worked in skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living, hospice and spiritual care environments. Ben is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC), and has an RCFE Administrator’s certificate. Currently, Ben is on the Boards of Directors for the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center, the Day Break Adult Care Centers, San Francisco Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Las Aguilas de Diablo and the Piedmont Scouting Alumni Association (local Boy Scouts of America alumni groups). When he isn’t running the business or meeting with clients, Ben enjoys watching Movies, handiwork, and gardening.
