Care Available 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week.
Not only she helped me with my kids, but she also helped me with their laundry….I caught her cleaning the kitchen countertops after she just finished cleaning the stove top and the microwave. Her simple explanation-I don’t like to sit around. I highly recommend Mary and her company and will definitely use their service again.

We are Allan and Marilete (Mary) Chu, owners of Homewatch CareGivers serving Walnut Creek, East Contra Costa county and the surrounding areas. Our caregiving experiences with our own families and friends equipped us with the understanding and caring that can help us to better serve our community through Homewatch CareGivers.
My (Allan) parents are in their late 80’s, with my father diagnosed with dementia back in 2006 and my mother showing signs of dementia in the last year. My father was audited by IRS around 2007 for forgetting to report an income distribution. After helping my dad to resolve the IRS problem, we realized he lost part of his independence. The weight of his needs was rested on my mother’s limited shoulders. A couple of years ago, my brother, sister, and I even considered an assisted living community, but that did not resonate well with my mother. As they age, they are in need of more care, which currently, is provided by my sister in New York. With my caregiving business, which I feel passionate about, I hope to have a chance to service them as they have served me in bringing me up. I hope to serve you as I will serve my parents.
After arriving from Brazil in 2000, I (Mary) worked in various odd jobs to learn English and to earn a living. Through friends I started a home cleaning business and within few months of starting the business my schedule was completely full and I had a very difficult time accommodating new clients, but I worked through it all. During that time, I begin to build a friendship relationship with one of the clients that was in her 80’s, in which, I would take her to places she liked to go and help run errands for her because she had no one else to help her. Another friend of mine I met at our church who wanted to just have a friend to dine out with, and not someone to help her with her home or run errands. I learned so much through these two ladies; I learned to be open minded, listen their needs, and understand what make them happy. I hope I can have the opportunity to serve you too.
