At Homewatch CareGivers of Walnut Creek, the CNA/HHA fulfills basic quality-of-life needs for patients of any age, ethnicity or gender in the comfort of their home. The passion for taking care of others and ability to help those in medical need is a strong motivating factor for a CNA/HHA .
Responsible for assisting the HWCG of Walnut Creek’s clients with their personal and complex care needs in accordance with the care plan and qualifications.
Responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living in a safe and beneficial manner.
Responsible for providing loving and careful attention to the children in our care.
Caring for clients to ensure the health and safety of children in care.
Assist with: ambulation/transferring clients/positioning-bathing (tub, shower, sponge)/feeding and proper nutrition /toileting/skin care/nail care/oral care, denture care/grooming/shaving/dressing/ medication reminding/protective oversight/home safety and sanitation/infection control in the home, including universal precautions?
Must possess effective communication skills.
Provide transportation as required.
Prefer experienced CNA, HHA & PCA.
To attend our children care program, we prefer experienced child care provider to care for our little clients.
Must be able to function with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the client.
Must accept responsibility for maintaining skills and learning on an ongoing basis, as well as adhering to agency policies.
Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results.
Must have a valid Driver’s License, own a vehicle & current auto insurance.
Must have current C.N.A. or H.H.A certification.
TB Test Negative (less than a year) preferred.
Current First Aid & CPR certification preferred.
Able to work an average of 20-40 hours per week.
Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day.
Able to lift 20-30 pounds.
Able to use tools necessary for job.
