Meet a Franchise Owner: Liz Charbonneau

After working for more than 30 years in the corporate world, Liz Charbonneau took a step back from life to reevaluate just exactly what she wanted to do with her career. Deciding it was time to navigate a new path, Liz decided to make the transition into business ownership in the senior care services industry and became a Homewatch CareGivers franchisee in Princeton, New Jersey.

“I always felt that there was a need for stronger quality senior care services and Homewatch CareGivers gave me the opportunity to explore the industry,” Liz says. “With opportunities to work with caregivers, clients and families directly, I am able to run a business that I have a great amount of passion towards.”

Through learning more and becoming involved in the senior care field, Liz has always felt a connection to those she works with since she has previous experience caring for her aging parents and loved ones. Homewatch CareGivers has given her the opportunity to continue to grow her expertise and operate a successful business independently. Her biggest challenge? Identifying enough caregivers to meet the demand for services.

Liz was recently featured on Princeton TV’s Seniors@Play segment to talk about senior care and the specifics of running this type of business, including how she finds caregivers, what type of care is provided and more.
