The Discovery Process

Steps to Ownership

Learn More about Our Home Care Franchise Opportunity

Investing in a franchise is a big decision. At Homewatch CareGivers®, we expect potential owners to commit to learning as much as they can about our franchise opportunity to determine if this is the right fit for them. We are dedicated to ensuring that qualified candidates are a match for our organization while taking them through our discovery process with a flexible but systematic approach. The steps outlined below typically take fewer than 90 days to complete, but this is largely dependent on availability to meet with a franchise consultant for scheduled phone appointments.

When you’re ready, we will work directly with you in a consultative manner, via phone and through our secure online portal, to educate you on our model and answer your detailed questions. When you are ready to start the discovery process, you can expect to take the following steps.

Take the first step today! Fill out our information request form so a franchise consultant can reach out and begin your discovery process for our senior care franchise opportunity.

  • 2. Learn More about Why Homewatch CareGivers

Participate in a 60-minute Why Homewatch CareGivers webinar with your franchise consultant, where we’ll get to know a little more about you, including your background, why you’re looking to franchise, your budget, who else might be involved in your decision, and other details. Your franchise consultant will present on the company history, our differentiators, the services we provide, our unique approach to care, and a day in the life of an owner.

  • 3. Fill out the Confidential Franchise Application

Complete our secure online application, which includes questions regarding job history, education, financials, net worth, etc.

  • 4. Receive the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)

Once we receive your application, we will provide you with a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document. The FDD contains a wealth of information about our franchise, including initial fees, obligations of the franchisor and franchisee, our most recent financial representations (Item 19), and a list of owners. It also contains the Franchise Agreement.

  • 5. Learn about Our Client Acquisition Model

The second 60-minute webinar and phone call will review the ways we support franchise owners with client acquisition including marketing and business development. You will learn about our target audiences and the ways we support you with both national and local marketing. Your consultant will review the proprietary Market Action Plan (MAP) process, which helps you strategically plan your marketing and sales efforts. Learn more about field sales and how we support you with ongoing business development.

  • 6. Learn about People Development and Ongoing Support

During the third and final 60-minute webinar, you will learn about caregivers and office staff, including the importance of managing your employees and driving the culture. You’ll discover more about recruiting, hiring, and training caregivers, as well as Homewatch CareGivers University. You’ll also hear about all the ways we support our franchisees from the beginning, starting with the Business Implementation Program (BIP), pre-training, training week, in-field launch visit, and a dedicated launch coach, plus our ongoing support, which includes our business intelligence tools and our innovative business management system (Care+).

  • 7. Complete Validation/Personal Assessment/Regulations Call

Once you have completed the three webinars, your franchise consultant will introduce you into Validation with existing owners. We will ask you to complete a Personal Franchise Assessment online. Where applicable, we will set up a regulations and licensing call with our Subject Matter Experts to review your state licensing requirements and the process.

  • 8. Come to Meet Your Team Day

Schedule a date to visit Denver and meet the team at the Franchise Support Center, where you’ll be able to dive deeper into the topics you have already learned about. This is the last step in the process, and it is a chance for both parties to confirm the decision to enter into a business relationship.
