Here, home care is human.

We are David and Kathy Klawuhn, owners of Homewatch CareGivers, the premier home care agency serving Midland, Bay City and Saginaw.

In today's busy world, we are all faced with the challenges of balancing careers and families. Through our own personal caregiving experiences with family members we realized how difficult it can be to maintain balance and quality of life for both the family caregiver and their loved ones.A few years ago David’s father suffered and survived a medical emergency. David, his brother and mother had to make serious adjustments to their lives to accommodate his father’s medical requirements including: transportation for numerous doctors’ appointments, lab work, physical therapy and many other needs. David was fortunate that he lived close to his parents and had a very flexible employer who allowed him to provide care to his father. While the family was ready and willing to take on Dad’s aftercare it would have been wonderful to have help to accommodate what his family needed to keep life “normal.”

This story has a happy ending; David’s father is fine and back to living a robust life. Other families, like ours, struggle to make their way through this difficult terrain, often without even knowing that in home care is an option. Caring, considerate and quality help is available. We are committed to serving the people in our community and feel very fortunate to be in a position to learn their stories, and help improve their quality of life through our home care agency.
