How do home care and home healthcare work together?

In Silver Spring, Rockville, Potomac, and Montgomery County, we routinely find ourselves assisting home health care services for our clients. For example, when we provide home care for a client that is currently receiving physical therapy, our aide will reinforce the PT routine. By reinforcing the exercises during the time that the aide is there, the client is able to get stronger, shortening the recovery time.

We have a particularly complex case where the client suffered from ALS and requires 24 hour around the clock RN care. Due to her condition she is a 2-person assist, needing help to transfer, bathing and other tasks. As such, in addition to the 24 hour RN care, the family has engaged with our agency to provide an aide to perform personal care duties. This has helped reduce their costs of care as staffing a second RN on this case would have un-necessarily increased the cost of care.
