    As the President of Homewatch Caregivers of Tacoma Joe provides the leadership inspiration, and strategic vision that allows Homewatch Caregivers to provide the best possible care for our clients and their families.

    A long-time resident of South Puget Sound and Pierce County Joe is a veteran (retired Army) and senior defense industry executive who found that after many years of taking care of his parents and younger brother, that caregiving was his true calling. He has over 15 years of experience in caregiving with specific expertise in Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and hospice care. Joe and his wife Marilyn provide "hands on" caregiving services every day for his 88-year old mother who lives with their family.

    Joe is passionate about keeping seniors in their home and providing them with the best possible care as they age. He works tirelessly to ensure that Homewatch Caregivers delivers the absolute excellence in the care of our clients, is the best possible resource to our client's families, and supports our senior community in every way possible.

    A second-generation military family (Dad-Navy WWII / Joe-Army) Joe understands the unique care requirements of veterans and is deeply committed to ensuring that our veterans and their families receive the best possible care and services, and no one ever gets "left behind".

    As the Director of Operations Marilyn is responsible for the daily business operations of Homewatch Caregivers of Tacoma. Marilyn oversees client services, caregiver management, scheduling, staffing-recruiting-hiring activities, quality assurance programs, and all operations across Pierce,Thurston, and Kitsap counties.

    A long time resident of South Puget Sound Marilyn has over 30 years of experience in healthcare covering all aspects of senior healthcare needs. She is also an expert in medical billing with experience managing the medical billing for hospitals and clinics owned by Tenet Healthcare and she has owned her own medical billing company that had operations in California, Nevada, and Washington.

    Excellence in client care is Marilyn's passion and she works tirelessly to provide the best possible care to our South Puget Sound's senior community.

    Marilyn is from a military family that spans 2 generations of military service (father - Coast Guard / husband - Army). Our veterans are our extended family and Marilyn takes great pride providing the best possible care for our veterans and their families.

    As the Director of Client and Caregiver Services Leonia is responsible for the leadership and management of client services, caregiver teams, scheduling, the management of caregivers across multiple locations / communities, the marketing and sales of homecare services, and providing care to clients.

    Leonia has over 15 years' experience in providing care for seniors as a caregiver. Originally from Monterey, California, she moved to Tacoma in 2016 to be closer to her father. Leonia began her health care journey in 2003 while a student at Santa Clara High School where she volunteered at a local nursing home as an Activities Aid. She had such a deep connection with the residents and was so popular that the nursing home immediately hired her the day that she graduated from high school.

    Leonia is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and a licensed Home Health Aid and Home Care Aid in the state of Washington. She also has many years of experience in Case Management, as a Care Manager, Marketing / Sales, and Caregiver Training.

    Her areas of special expertise include Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body dementia/disease, Parkinson's disease, disabilities, and mental health issues.
