Owner/President
Richard is the Owner/President of Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg. He has worked in the medical industry for many years, having experience in pharmaceuticals, blood banking, diagnostic laboratories, and stem cell research. He has lived in Brownsburg for over 17 years, where he and his wife have raised two grown children. His wife is a registered dietitian, and his daughter is in nursing, so health care runs in the family. Richard worked in sales and sales management for over 40 years, helping guide individuals and businesses to reach and exceed their goals. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking, exercising, riding bikes and playing tennis, not to mention the daily activities of home ownership and being a good husband and father.

Susan Ray

Office Manager
Susan is the Office Manager at Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg. She has worked in a variety of office settings in her community and loves helping others. Susan comes from a large family and has lived in Brownsburg most of her life. She is married to another long-time resident of Brownsburg and they have 2 grown children whom they love spending time with. Susan’s background consists of working in an elementary school where she provided children with extra Reading & Math assistance. She also worked as an Advocate at a domestic violence shelter for women & children, before becoming the Front Office Coordinator at a local church daycare and then the Office Manager for a local exterior cleaning company. Susan volunteered in many ways over the years at a variety of special events at the schools her children attended. She has also enjoyed volunteering in the food pantry at their church, alongside her family and has assisted in the children’s ministry there in various ways, including being a leader in their youth ministry program. Most recently, Susan published a daily devotional called “Simple Truth Daily Devotions” and mentioned that she is “passionate about sharing the love of Christ with others as well as helping people of all ages.”

Amanda has been in the medical field for 20 years. She believes that we all have a purpose in life. She feels like her purpose is to take care of others. Amanda has worked in hospitals and nursing home settings. She enjoys working in the home and being able to take people out in the community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to shop at Amazon and Walmart. When Amanda is not with family, she enjoys having a lazy day at home binge watching Netflix or Hulu and pigging out on snacks.

Kennedi is currently a nursing student working toward getting her LPN license. Her goal after that is to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Kennedi enjoys helping others, is hard working and has a great work ethic. She is dedicated to being a key member of the healthcare community, enjoys taking initiative while seeking out new challenges in fast-paced environments. When Kennedi is not at work or at school, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Penny joined Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg as a Care Giver because she enjoys helping people. She worked at Eli Lilly’s for 32 years where her days consisted of doing infectious disease research. After retiring from there, she worked as a CNA for 13 years between the ER and ICU departments at Hendricks Regional Health. Although she is also retired from the hospital, she still has an LPN license. Penny also likes to travel. When she is not caring for others, spending time with her family or traveling, she is most likely gardening & canning, which she has a real passion for.

Hayley has a Psychology degree from Ball State, which she has utilized with Community Health and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, working with individuals in the behavioral services departments. Recently, Hayley graduated with her RN degree from Cincinnati State College. Hayley is looking to apply her education working with children at a Peds unit in a local hospital. She enjoys bringing a smile and happiness to her patients to brighten their day. In her spare time, she enjoys her two furry dogs and spending time with family and friends.

Scott has worked in Geriatric Therapy for over 30 years as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Although Scott recently retired as a PTA, he is still finding ways to stay connected and give back to the elderly and those in need. Scott loves meeting new people and is excited about caregiving because it gives him something to focus on and gives him purpose. Throughout Scott’s career he has worked with a number of individuals, and he enjoys helping in any way that he can. When Scott is not working as a caregiver or volunteering his time, he enjoys reading and taking care of his pets.

Juanita brings a great deal of experience with her to Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg. She retired in 2005 after 25 years as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). Juanita says that she enjoys working as a Caregiver because she loves helping people. She said that working with the elderly has always been a good fit for her. When Juanita is not working as a Caregiver, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys filling in her time helping at an after-school program.

Mikayla is excited to be working with Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg. She is caring & patient and likes to help people in any way that she can. Mikayla is honest & hardworking and has great time management skills. She is not afraid to learn new things and does not hesitate to ask questions. This makes Mikayla valuable because of the knowledge she gains not only from her peers but from her personal & professional experiences as well. Mikayla is continuing her studies currently and is interested in Social Work & addiction. When Mikayla is not busy Caregiving or going to school, she loves to play softball.

Alexa is currently in college, studying Social Work and plans to focus her field of studies in Geriatrics. She loves working with older individuals because she loves learning from them and loves being with them. She considers herself an “old soul” and feels a connection with the elderly and is excited about helping them. Alexa is very involved with her church in various ways especially with being on the worship team there. She has a great sense of humor and loves cats. When Alexa is not going to school, working or at church, she loves hiking and spending time with her family and friends.

Rose’s background includes being an EMT and a CNA. She also has experience with Alzheimer’s and stroke patients. Rose has always had the will to help people. She enjoys being a Caregiver and enjoys helping her community. One way she likes to uplift their spirits is with music. She also likes getting to know them one on one so that she can better meet their needs. When Rose is not working as a Caregiver, she loves spending time with her grandchildren and enjoys making bead jewelry. Rose is hardworking and a dedicated part of the team at Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg.

Sue has done a variety of jobs including working as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). Throughout her career she has advocated for patients’ rights in many ways in order to help create a better living environment for them. She enjoys Caregiving because she is passionate about helping people. When Sue is not working, she spends time with her family. She loves spending time outdoors and is excited about working with Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg so that she can continue finding ways to give back to others

Hannah is currently in school and wants to become a Registered Nurse. She mentioned that she would like to put her focus on geriatrics because she has a passion for the elderly and loves helping them. Hannah has worked with several individuals who have had dementia and understands they can all have different emotions at different times. She is professional, friendly, and always willing to learn. Hannah is excited about being a caregiver because she wants to get to know the clients and help them in any way that she can. When Hannah is not working or going to school, she enjoys being outside either playing sports or doing yardwork. She also enjoys reading and loves to cook.

Caregiving is very personal to Debbie as she has assisted several of her family members throughout most of her life. She sees it as a privilege to be able to help others and it just comes naturally to her. The scope of her caregiving background ranges from patients with Alzheimer’s, cancer, spina bifida as well as ambulatory assistance, personal care, and housekeeping. Debbie is very outgoing and when she is not caregiving, she enjoys doing crafts with friends and spending time with her family.

Michelle has volunteered in various ways throughout her life and has been able to care for others in many ways as well. She loves being a caregiver because she loves caring for people and is humbled with compassion to be able to treat others the way she would want to be treated. Michelle is hard working, considers herself a servant and is extremely conscientious. When Michelle is not working, she enjoys playing tennis, loves hiking & being outdoors and enjoys spending time with her family.

Jennifer shows compassion, encouragement, and kindness with the care she gives to all of her clients, young and old. It is important to Jennifer to “treat them with dignity and respect,” just as she would want to be treated. When Jennifer is not caregiving for the elderly or being a nanny for young ones she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
