Eric Malkin, owner of Homewatch CareGivers serving Beachwood, Ohio was inspired to start his business in 2006 after a dear aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
Eric has an MBA and earned a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation, which shows that he is competent and knowledgeable about working with seniors. “I am ultimately responsible for every caregiver that comes into your home and for the care that is delivered to each of our families,” he says. “We do our best, through our client management model, to personally meet with each of our clients to understand their needs and how we can be of help.”
Eric, whose background is in finance, takes his work with his clients seriously and has been trained in CPR and First Aid.
In an effort to create a unique career path for his caregivers, Eric formed a second company called CEFA (Community Employment For All) that finds individuals with developmental disabilities jobs and supports them through independence in the work place.
This northeastern Ohio native embraces golf in summer, “survives” winters by playing tennis and racquetball (“Though I wouldn’t miss the winters, I love this city and marvel at all that is has to offer,” Eric adds), and passionately cheers on Cleveland teams.
He is inspired by his work daily. “I love to reward our caregivers and be part of a perfect match when a caregiver practically becomes part of our client’s family,” Eric says.
Lisa Anderson, Office Manager, has been at Homewatch CareGivers in Beachwood, Ohio since 2006. She has a BS in Finance and Accounting and is a Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP). Lisa handles the day-to-day operations, with an emphasis on accounting and human resource functions. She left a career in corporate finance and accounting when her kids were born and then started a new life path as a preschool teacher and Meals on Wheels volunteer. It was her volunteering that awakened an interest in working with seniors in her community. “Knowing that we are in a caring field and that we are making a positive difference in the lives of many seniors and their families is my favorite thing about my job,” says Lisa. When she’s not at work, she likes to hike and pursue an interest in holistic well-being.

As with many of our employees, their dog can join them in the office or on a visit to a client, if desired. Jeff’s dog is Willie, a rescue who showed up at his son’s workplace one day (a fire station in Warren, OH) several years ago. Poor Willie was homeless, malnourished, healing from a broken foot and very matted. My son brought him and Willie has been with me for 12 years. He has become a great close friend to me and is most important in my life.
This is Jeff’s dog Tucker! He is a very energetic and loving friend, and he is a mix between a golden retriever and lab. Tucker enjoys running around playing fetch, playing with family, and loves playing with just about any toy that squeaks. He came into Jeff’s life during his senior year of High School, and he has been bringing smiles to everyone’s faces ever since!
