August is National Immunization Awareness Month.

As you age, your immune system does too. A decline in your immune system can turn small inconveniences, like the common cold, into a massive undertaking. According to the National Institute on Aging, the recommended vaccines for older adults are the Covid-19 vaccine, Flu Vaccine, Pneumococcal Vaccine, Shingles Vaccine, Tdap vaccine, and any travel vaccines that are recommended for where you might be traveling. Talk with your healthcare provider about which immunizations might be right for you and your lifestyle.
