Caregiving is one way that we have chosen to impact the world for the better: Each client. Each family. Each Caregiver. The unique opportunity to help people as a vocation is what motivates us each day. At Homewatch CareGivers of Crystal Lake, we provide unique philosophies, including “Eden at Home,” as well as superior technology. We bring our hearts into the organization to foster a culture, we believe, that stands above the industry.
Owners Alan and Tamera Mongin are Certified Eden at Home Associates. The Eden philosophy focuses on improving quality of life for elders and their care partners by seeking to eliminate the three plagues of “loneliness, helplessness, and boredom.” Addressing more than just the physical needs of our client benefits the care partners, as well as the care recipient. Bringing this philosophy deep into the culture of the organization is foundational in all we do as owners. The company environment we foster has led many of our caregivers to express that we are different, and the best place they have ever worked.
Tamera has 14 years’ experience working directly in health care. She has also provided leadership, developed coursework and training programs for volunteers, and served the community as a resource for people experiencing difficult circumstances. She currently serves as an officer on the McHenry County Taskforce on Aging board.
Alan brings decades of experience as both a CPA and a techy. With Alan’s experience, we are able to leverage leading edge systems to run our business and meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. Because we have industry leading outcome-based information, and use measurements that are common in the healthcare industry, we can collaborate with health care partners more effectively. Additionally, it helps us to put together great caregiver / client matches and efficiently schedule service without getting in the way of providing great care. Afterall, caring for people is our passion and having great systems in place helps us do it with excellence.
As a family, we have long participated in local and international missions, providing help to families in need, and opened our home to children in crisis. Both of us have served as board members to various Christian and non-profit organizations. For both of us day to day ministry comes down to listening, caring, and praying for people in our circle of influence.
We go beyond traditional caregiving—our mission is to redefine home care by delivering an unmatched level of service and reliability. Families across Crystal Lake trust us because we don’t just meet expectations—we exceed them.
At Homewatch CareGivers of Crystal Lake, we’re all about building strong relationships and genuine connections. We work to match every client with the perfect caregiver to provide the right services and meaningful companionship.
