He was fully aware. And I was losing him, little by little, every day.
What followed was not just a caregiving journey — it was a fight for his dignity, safety, and legacy. When others gave up on him or saw him as a burden, I flew across the world to protect him. I stood between him and indignity. I fought legal battles to uphold his rights. I witnessed betrayal, heartbreak, and grace — sometimes all in the same day.

As a proud mother of three, Courtney combines her clinical knowledge with a deeply compassionate, family-centered approach to home health care. Her nursing background spans skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation communities, and specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other memory-related conditions. She is highly skilled in patient care coordination, medication administration, and managing complex care plans with sensitivity and professionalism. In her role as Operations Manager, Courtney oversees the daily functions of the agency, including caregiver scheduling, compliance, quality assurance, and client service coordination. She works closely with both clients and care staff to ensure that every individual receives personalized, high-quality care tailored to their unique needs. Her leadership is guided by a strong commitment to communication, reliability, and ethical care delivery. Courtney’s greatest passion lies in creating an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to live with dignity in their own homes. She believes exceptional home care begins with trust—and she strives to build that trust every day through integrity, compassion, and dedication to excellence. As part of the Homewatch CareGivers of Germantown team, Courtney is proud to serve as both a clinical professional and operational leader, working to ensure every client and family feels supported from the very first visit.
John Burns is the Business Development Manager at Homewatch CareGivers of Germantown. He brings more than ten years of leadership experience in senior living, memory care, and behavioral health, with a strong record of strengthening care operations, improving service quality, and supporting organizational growth.
Throughout his career, John has led large teams, overseen dementia care for 38 residents, and managed residential treatment operations for a 70-bed rehabilitation program. He has worked closely with nursing, wellness, operations, and sales teams to streamline move-ins, improve occupancy, strengthen compliance, and enhance the overall client and resident experience.
John is skilled at identifying service gaps, developing effective care solutions, and building trusted relationships with families, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Throughout his career, he has contributed to census and occupancy growth by strengthening referral relationships, improving the customer experience, and ensuring responsive follow-through. His results-oriented, people-centered approach helps organizations grow while ensuring individuals receive compassionate, dependable, and high-quality care.
