I believe people age and thrive best at home—surrounded by what’s familiar and supported by people who truly care. I’m Ron Herzig, owner of Homewatch CareGivers of San Rafael.

My passion for home care began more than 25 years ago in graduate school, when I spent time each week visiting home-bound members of my church community who didn’t have family nearby. Those visits weren’t clinical—they were deeply human. I saw firsthand how steady presence, practical support, and genuine compassion can restore dignity and transform someone’s quality of life. That experience stayed with me and shaped the work I chose to build my life around.

Today, I bring decades of leadership experience and a relationship-first approach to every client and family we serve. We don’t treat care as a transaction. We take time to understand the person—their routines, preferences, and what matters most—then build care that protects independence, supports the whole family, and feels genuinely personal. We’re redefining what an exceptional home care experience can be.
