After Surgery Care

Some people don’t realize that they’ll have a need for home care services just after having surgery. Whether the surgery is handled by an out-patient clinic, or is more invasive in nature, clients have asked our caregivers to step in to help just until they feel strong enough to support themselves again. Right after surgery, discharged patients particularly need help following discharge instructions, including medication reminders.

Homewatch Caregivers of Windsor provided transportation after discharge for a middle-aged man that underwent out-patient surgery. Our caregiver gave him assistance at home, getting in and out of bed and preparing light meals during recuperation. In his case, he was thrilled that he didn’t have to call on family to intervene.

If you’ve considered using a home care company for after care, perhaps to supplement your family’s care hours, give us a call to discuss options. Homewatch Caregivers of Windsor is committed to responding quickly and flexing to adapt to your needs after a hospital discharge.
