I was so thankful that I hired this company. We have used one other company in the past and not had the same results. When my father had to be brought home on hospice, this company really stepped up. They had care available for me nearly 24 hrs/day. EVERY single caregiver that showed up, was really good. I am not exaggerating. They were all on time, willing to help in any way, and all had experience with the elderly. I wish I could send each and every one of them a thank you card. In one of the hardest seasons of my life they made things better.
Being the sole 24/7 caregiver for my mom for the last 2 years it was time to bring in some help. We have been using Homewatch for my mother since November of 24. The onboarding process was quite smooth and simple. Getting the care providers up to speed on how to move my mother and meet her social needs was relatively easy. Each person has been very professional and fabulous with my mom. Since we are a multigenerational home the care providers have become like family. After some initial growing pains, our case manager and the office staff have been great with our feedback regarding our need for consistent staffing (same people for regular shifts). I feel fortunate to have the means to access this type of care and to help alleviate some of the intensity with my mom’s growing needs. Keeping her with us has been important for all of us, not just my mom. If you are looking for care for a loved one either to keep them home in their own or if your loved one is home with you I recommend Homewatch.

We are fortunate to have the same caregiver each evening M,W,Th from 6 to 10 (a rather hard time to fill, but HOME WATCH was able to do so). Furthermore, she (Jacquelyn) is the best we have ever had, and we have had some good ones.
Holly, Martha, Evone all the very best. Our family interviewed 3 different home health care providers. We chose this one and definitely made the right choice. Great communication, follow up, very professional. Couldn’t be happier with the service and care our mom is receiving.
Nychelle is motivated to help me as well as keeps track of different tasks and makes sure that they are completed. She is respectful and kind in her care and oftentimes watches as I walk to make sure that I am steady as I have fatten multiple times this year. She is mature in her want and desire to help me and I am thankful for her.

Our current caregiver is outstanding but she is leaving for another job. The one before her was young, pleasant and tried hard but had limited experience. She also left for another job. The one before her left the area just as we were about to ask to have her replaced. So it depends on the people Homewatch has available.
I have come to learn the staff here goes out to see any potential clients that they beleive they can serve; and if they can't they are honest about it. By working here I have learned and I understand that explaining a situation over the phone and seeing the practical living situation of any parent and their ability to determine the scope of care are two different worlds! Thank you for being people, doing your best serving others and providing an honest assessment.

The level of service is top notch, especially from Deanna, our caregiver and Art, the owner. She is always effervescent and motivated and we feel much better after every time she comes to help. Art is also very compassionate and cares about doing the utmost to make my mom feel happy and taken care of.
The decision to use Homewatch CareGvers is a no brainer. They walk with you every step of the way... My husband and I moved into his aged parent's home to help them out in their "golden years" of life. After the move my father-in-law passed in June '15 (89 yr. old) leaving his wife (88 yr. old) that has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's-late onset, Dementia type. In September ’15 my Mother-In-Law (MIL) fell ill to a gallbladder infection that landed her in the hospital for a week and a rehabilitation facility for over a month. During this time I realized that I was going to need help upon her discharge from rehab. At that time I began looking for a daytime caregiver for my mother-in-law, (MIL) but I didn’t know where to begin. My MIL had received a medical evaluation/assessment a few months prior to her hospitalization that was performed by a licensed, professional Tracy K, RN. This seasoned nurse highly recommended that I look into Homewatch CareGivers in Northbrook for help with my MIL. -She praised Homewatch and assured me there wasn’t a better outfit on the North Shore. After several recommendations from others and a list full of agencies to research Homewatch Caregivers was the only name still on the list that had all of credentials, services, and personnel that I was looking for- So I called. My first contact with Homewatch was by phone. A woman by the name of Leslie patiently listened to my story, my needs and concerns. She set an appointment at my convenience for a personal meeting and assessment of my situation. The meeting was with Mitch Abrams and it took place in the convenience of our house. I found out during that meeting that Mitch was the Managing Director of North Shore Homewatch Caregivers. I was very impressed with this personal testimony, his down to earth, hands-on representation of the company. Our family was more than pleased. Mitch along with Stacey from the Business Office consulted, explained all options and handled all of the financial / insurance matters seamlessly under our discretion. I was then contacted again by Leslie as a follow-up and was introduced to a Jenny; both women were with Client Services, I call it “Client Caring”. Leslie and Jenny worked with me to help find a special individual that would be a perfect fit for not only my MIL but for all involved in the household. I was notified the following business day that there were two individuals that fit the bill. “Client Care” set up a meeting with Denise B., LCSW (social worker) and the individuals that were to care for my MIL. We discussed the schedule, my MIL’s needs and general expectations. I did not want to alienate my MIL, I didn’t want her to feel like a patient or uncomfortable in her own home. My MIL has accepted and enjoys others caring for her in her home; she refers to her caregivers as “Friends.”-And they are. My husband and I are more than satisfied with The Homewatch Caregivers “family”. The individuals that are a part of this agency have given our family a ‘peace of mind’ with their outstanding, continued, committed services. Some surveys rating a particular business or service rendered will ask, “Would you recommend this agency or service?” and the options are: Never, Possibly, Recommend or Highly Recommend” with HCG, I would have to write-in, “There is only ONE agency and that is Homewatch Caregivers. Everyone that has been involved with this HCG team: Mitch, Leslie, Jenny, Stacey, Denise, and a special 'shout out" to Anne F and Julianah O we THANK YOU all a million, billion!
