It all starts with hiring, then continues with training and orientation to make this a meaningful job.
Steps to Becoming a Caregiver
Since senior care can be such personal work for both the caregivers and the clients, we do everything we can to make sure that all parties feel safe and secure. We hire Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), Personal Care Providers (PCPs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) as caregivers once they have met the following requirements:
- Fingerprinting FBI & state background checks
- Proof of a 3-year driving history
- Proof of passing a two-step TB test
- Proof of a recent physical
- Proof of valid auto insurance
- CPR & First Aid certification
- Professional reference checks that verify not only employment history, but also integrity and job performance
