I’m Rebecca Bodor, and like you, I faced a family crisis.
My husband Tim and I grew up in the DC suburbs. We enjoyed raising our family here and taking advantage of all this area has to offer.
In late 2014, I took the steps to start this business: a business that provided a meaningful service and a way to give back to our community. Two weeks later, my father had a stroke. Within a single day, my strong, independent, and capable Dad became debilitated and unable to look after himself. It was a shocking introduction to my new life. One day, I was a parent and spouse raising my family. The next, I was a family caregiver on top of all my other responsibilities.
My family came face to face with countless difficult decisions about my parents’ age and care.
You may be facing something similar right now. We understand that many families come to us in crisis. You might be wondering, What kind of care does my loved one need? How can I trust a stranger in my home? What do I do if a caregiver quits or doesn’t show up?
Let me say from experience that your situation will get better with help— the right kind of help.
While trying to care for my father, my family encountered a lot of the wrong kind of help. We experienced the many pitfalls of elder care first-hand. And those experiences inspired us as we built Homewatch Caregivers.
We go beyond traditional caregiving—our mission is to redefine home care by delivering an unmatched level of service and reliability. Families across Sterling trust us because we don’t just meet expectations—we exceed them.
