How Much Does Home Care Cost?
The cost of long-term care is an important consideration. Homewatch CareGivers serving North Dallas wants to be helpful with sorting out this critical information. Not only does each option—in-home care, assisted living, nursing home, and adult day service—come with its own features and benefits, there are different ways in which you can pay for them too.
Typically, in-home care is paid for out-of-pocket, but many people are also able to use long-term care insurance benefits, veterans’ benefits, or sometimes life insurance plans. In some cases, people can use Medicaid and Medicare Advantage to pay for this service.
The best way to find out how much you can expect to pay for using a professionally-trained compassionate caregiver for yourself or a loved one is to contact our office. The cost of care will depend on the length and scope of care needed. When comparing the types of long-term care available, keep in mind things like a caregiver to care recipient ratio, additional expenses such as meals and residential upkeep. The hourly rates that we charge include a Client Care Manager who will help you create and maintain a customized plan of care, a qualified caregiver in the home, updates about your loved one, on-going training as needed, and other support. After the plan of care is created, the exact rate for care can be determined.
Also know that while we not have minimum hours, shorter shifts of only one to two hours may cost more.
