Making a Change: Meet Franchise Owner Steven Montano

As someone who felt he had “done it all, seen it all,” Steven Montano was skeptical when he researched Homewatch CareGivers as a potential business opportunity.

“I was overwhelmed by their sincerity,” he says. “I didn’t believe a company like this could exist.”

Today he is not only a believer but the proud owner and president of Homewatch CareGivers serving Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Mr. Montano worked most of his career on Wall Street and was working for Cantor Fitzgerald on Sept. 11. “The loss of so many friends had a profound effect on me,” he says.

His personal caregiving experience with loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease gave him an understanding about care needs. “I have a lot of experience with illness and empathy for people who are going through these things.”

Today he finds himself touched and inspired by “changing the lives of both clients and their caregivers.”

Hear Mr. Montano tell his own story in this video.
