Crystal, our caregiver, has been phenomenal. This experience has been such a huge relief. My husband suffered a massive stroke 10 years ago. Except for occasional stints in inpatient rehab, he's lived at home, and I've been the primary caregiver. The early years were not overly problematic, but age and general decline have made it much less safe for him to be left alone for any extended period (anything more than an hour, at most). To make matters more complicated, we live in a very rural area. Homewatch found us a caregiver in a neighboring town, they were able to rearrange her schedule to accommodate us and VOILA! We have an awesome caregiver, and Homewatch has worked with us every step of the way. I can't thank them enough! I can now safely step away to take care of things that need doing, or even for a little personal time. It's been huge!
I first reached out to Homewatch CareGivers of Bryan College Station on a Saturday afternoon. I had an interview on Sunday and someone in to assist me following my surgery on Monday. What a relief! I would have had a very difficult time managing on my own and the care giver was so sweet and kind. Not to mention an amazing cook. I already miss her. Our family recently needed 24 hour care for our mother. Homewatch Caregivers of BCS filled that need beautifully. Lisa and Phil, the owners are very hands on and are such caring individuals. The caregivers were all patient and well trained. We will not hesitate to use them again should the need arise.
