As the senior care industry continues to grow, more entrepreneurs are finding satisfaction in owning their own Homewatch CareGivers franchise – a business they can make an impact in and be proud of. Meet Dale Kiesz, the owner of Homewatch CareGivers of Western Washington. Dale’s background in corporate finance prepared him well to take on franchise ownership as he brings substantial business organization and administrative experience.
We asked Dale a few questions about his experience thus far as part of the Homewatch CareGivers system.
Why did you want to become a Homewatch CareGivers franchisee?
I wanted to find a business where my work could make a difference in people’s lives while providing a service that I could be proud of. Ultimately, I’m passionate about helping others and I really find we’re doing that all the time, helping clients, clients’ families and caregivers. It’s a fulfilling way to give back while earning a living.
In your eyes, what sets Homewatch CareGivers apart from other home care franchises?
Homewatch CareGivers is committed to training and support – we do our own in-house training, getting our employees up to speed at providing a consistently high level of personal care. We’re able to work with people with advanced stages of Parkinson’s, dementia, MS and more. Conversely, we’re able to handle cases that are strictly just companionship, such as helping someone with shopping or something lighter; we do a little bit of everything.
What is the greatest satisfaction you get from owning and running your Homewatch CareGivers business?
I love when our clients are happy with our care and we receive positive feedback from families and adult children – it’s very fulfilling to know that we’re able to make a positive difference in their lives.
