HWCG Celebrates Diversity in Franchising

There are over 582 million entrepreneurs in the world, and the number of small businesses has doubled since 1982. As these numbers continue to grow year after year, franchise organizations have put a priority on creating a more diverse and inclusive area for business owners to thrive. Franchising opens doors for anyone, regardless of race, gender, experience, or education.

Nearly one-third of franchise owners are minority-owned, compared to 18.8% of the non-franchise-owned businesses. Minority and women-owned franchise ownership in the past decade doubled in the last decade and is continued to keep growing.

Homewatch CareGivers promotes and celebrates diversity in franchising, by joining the IFA DiversityFran program. This program provides information and education on how to actively promote inclusivity to all looking to explore franchise opportunities. This also provides franchise owners $5,000 off the initial franchise fee to those who qualify as a minority or women-owned business.

Homewatch Caregivers is also recognized by Entrepreneur as a Top Franchise for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. This is led by Homewatch Caregivers’ involvement in IFA Pride Council, Women’s Franchise Committee, Diversity Institute Board, Women Franchise Networks, and Black Franchise Leadership Council.

Through many initiatives, Homewatch CareGivers goal is to educate, promote, and celebrate diversity and inclusion through franchising. To learn more about our other initiative or how to be a franchise owner yourself, click here
