Parade of Hope -Thank You

Parade

This past Sunday we at Homewatch CareGivers (HWCG) of Crystal Lake organized and hosted a Parade of Hope which was a socially distanced car parade in support of frontline workers, vulnerable people, and COVID-19 patients at local hospitals, care facilities, and communities from Crystal Lake to Huntley IL. Despite the rain, the event was a huge success! We had vehicles covered in decorations and participation from families, caregivers, community members, and pets who all made signs and came out to support their local heros.

The Parade of Hope started at our home office in Crystal Lake and visited Northwest Hospital, Alden Estates, Deer Path of Huntley, Heritage Woods of Huntley, and Del Webb neighborhood to spread hope and joy. This type of community involvement is what defines us at HWCG of Crystal Lake. We, like you, are proud members of the McHenry, Lake, and NW Cook county communities and see the importance of the work being done by caregivers, nurses, and doctors to care for vulnerable people and those most affected by COVID-19. We believe that providing opportunities for hope like this is more essential than ever because so much about our world is encouraging pessimism, fear, and anxiety. So to those who were able to come out to the Parade of Hope, thank you, because it’s in times like these that we need to come together and support one another.
