Hello, my name is Johanna Gillen, I am the Owner and President of Homewatch CareGivers of Central Bucks County.
In my life, I have had the unique experience of being a senior caregiver for both my own family, as well as clients through an agency, hiring caregivers as a client, hiring caregivers as an employer, and spending time with families/clients to understand their plan of care. I have seen and understand all aspects of the caregiver/client relationship.
In 2008, I became primary caregiver for an injured family member. Although a personally exhausting and frustrating position at times, I found the experience to be very rewarding.
In 2011, I earned my CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification and decided I wanted to help other seniors and physically disabled individuals. One becomes a great caregiver because they truly want to help and enrich someone’s life.
In 2012, I cared for my father after a cancer diagnosis; and again in 2015 as my mother faced her own cancer diagnosis. Caring for a loved one is an incredibly emotional experience and can be very hard for family members to handle on their own and that’s why I want to provide respite care and other support for people who are trying to do it all on their own when a loved one needs help.
In 2014, I obtained a position as Director of Client Services for a home care agency where I had the opportunity to meet with families and understand the characteristics important to a successful caregiver/client relationship, as well as how to operate a home care agency successfully.
In 2019, I had the opportunity to go one step further and purchase my own home care franchise, where I look forward to employing individuals who have the same passion to help as I did and to provide an individualized plan of care for our clients to ensure their highest quality of life. I look forward to getting to know you and how we can be of help. Please give us a call today.
We go beyond traditional caregiving—our mission is to redefine home care by delivering an unmatched level of service and reliability. Families across Central Bucks County trust us because we don’t just meet expectations—we exceed them.
At Homewatch CareGivers of Central Bucks County, we’re all about building strong relationships and genuine connections. We work to match every client with the perfect caregiver to provide the right services and meaningful companionship.
Schedule An Introductory CallI worked both private duty, and in a hospital as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) since 2011. In 2014, I had the opportunity to begin employment for a home care agency as their Human Resource Manager, where I started to understand the characteristics necessary to be an exceptional caregiver. After some time, I took on the role of the agency’s Client Care Coordinator where my role was to understand the needs of the client and to ensure that I was matching the perfect caregiver to complete the client’s care. This is where I began to understand the true impact of individualizing care based on the client’s established routine. This passion and understanding led me to purchase my own agency in 2019, where I use my complete experience to provide the most personal, fulfilling experience for both client and caregiver. “Never stop doing the little things for others. Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.” I am married to my husband Andy since 2016. I have a 26-year-old son Sean, who currently resides in Arizona; and two stepsons, 26-year-old Sean and 23-year old Tyler, who reside in Pennsylvania. Together, Andy and I have two four-legged babies, Mia and Marco. In our spare time, Andy and I stay active, and we enjoy traveling and seeing the world.
I have worked in Marketing, Sales and Business Development my entire life and possess a proven ability to establish and build strong relationships with clients, peers and staff. I want to be able to assist people with the resources they need to keep their loved ones fulfilled and happy. I grew up surrounded by love and compassion and learned at a very early age what it meant to be a caretaker, both physically and emotionally. My sister had leukemia and my brother was born with disabilities. They have both since passed and I will always remember their beautiful smiles, their love and appreciation. “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” I’ve been happily married to my husband Dean for 33 years and we have a lovely 29-year-old daughter Alex, who is a registered nurse. I love animals and own a standard poodle named Lola.
I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) since 2009. I worked in many areas of health care including hospitals, nursing home/rehab and home care. I have had many experiences for which I am very grateful and have led me to a detailed skill set. After deciding to take a turn in my career in 2018, I went from being a CNA to a staffing coordinator. I learned a lot about the administration of home care. That led me into deciding to go to school for Health Policy and Administration. I was very lucky and fortunate to join the team at Homewatch CareGivers in 2020 and look forward to growing as a person and employee! My husband Ryan and I have been together since 2010 and just got married in 2018! We have 2 beautiful Labs named Abby and Daisy and can’t wait to see what the next chapter in our love story will be! In our spare time we love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Hi, my name is Pam, and I’m a Staffing Coordinator at Homewatch CareGivers of Central Bucks County. I began my professional career working in sales and management as well as business consulting. After spending many years in the corporate world, I answered a calling to care for my elderly family members. It filled my heart to have an opportunity to give back to the ones who have given me so much. Helping them live as comfortably as possible and seeing them smile everyday brought true meaning to my life. During this time, I developed a true passion for caregiving. As my time caring for elderly family members came to an end, I had a strong desire to pursue a role in Home Healthcare. I knew working in this industry would enable me to help people receive care in the place they are most comfortable - their home. I enjoy connecting with our amazing clients and helping to facilitate care for their loved ones. One of my favorites quotes is: “The simple act of caring is heroic.” I have three beautiful children and two grandchildren who bring true joy and happiness to my life.
