Santa Rosa Plan of Care
The experts at Homewatch CareGivers of Santa Rosa create custom in home senior care plans to help clients where they need it most, including housekeeping, transportation, & more. A 93-year-old widow called Homewatch CareGivers of Santa Rosa to discuss the possibility of needing care. She thought she might, but she wasn’t sure. She was nervous—she’d been a widow for 25 years, living alone during that, except for her pets. She took in stray dogs and cats from time to time and they were her only constant companions. While she knew that she needed assistance in the home, she had anxiety about allowing someone in with her. The process took a few weeks, but eventually, she called and asked that we have someone be with her. She instantly felt comfortable with the caregiver we sent because the caregiver had nine dogs—mostly strays that she’d taken in. They bonded quickly over their mutual love for animals and desire to help those with no home. Because the caregiver read in the plan of care that the client did this, she was sure to bring it up at their first meeting, thus breaking the ice between them.
