Greg Wann Owner / CEOGreg Wann Owner / CEO
Greg is the founder and owner of Homewatch CareGivers Sarasota and is responsible its overall direction and operation. He grew up in southern Indiana and was fortunate to live with and learn from both sets of his grandparents in my early years.
“They role-modeled many traits I’ve tried to incorporate in my life including a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, living life with a higher purpose, empathy, service, and a keeping a sense of humor. My years living with them created a special place in my heart and a huge respect for those in the later chapters of their lives.”
His father had numerous complications from Type I Diabetes during his life and introduced him to the complex and often times confusing world of long-term care for seniors. He is married to his wife Tracy and has two children, Alex who is a physical therapist in Sarasota and Kaeli who is a Florida State Seminole (sorry Gators!).
Greg’s undergraduate degree is in Accounting from Old Dominion University and MBA from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. He started his career at KPMG Peat Marwick as an auditor and then joined the Walt Disney Company for 18 years working in Florida, France, California and Hong Kong. During the time at these organizations, “I learned the importance of planning and the “big picture” but also how important attention to detail is in being a professional and providing excellent service.” It was also during this time that he transitioned from Finance to focus on the people side of the business or Human Resources where I’ve focused my career the past 20 years.
“The importance of selecting the best of the best staff and the criticality of training are non-negotiable…and we have incorporated these into our approach to business and service."
Following the Disney years, he worked for World Vision International a global non-profit organization serving those in need in over 100 countries through disaster relief, advocacy, and community development.
“Our goal is to have a very high bar for the level of service we provide to our clients…but also the way we serve our staff.”
“I look forward to serving you and your loved ones and letting our family care for yours.”
