His life took a transformative turn during a two-year hiatus dedicated to serving communities in Washington D.C., instilling in him a profound sense of community spirit and the importance of care. A deeply personal chapter unfolded as he witnessed his beloved grandmother's battle with dementia, highlighting the critical need for heartfelt, compassionate elder care. This experience became a cornerstone of his commitment to Homewatch CareGivers of Austin, where he combines professional acumen with a passionate dedication to caregiving. Caregiving has always been close to my heart. It became personal while supporting my grandfather and spending time in senior communities, where I saw how much families depend on reliable care, clear communication, and people they can trust.
As an owner and Chief Operating Officer, I focus on turning our mission into consistent action. Together with my husband, Imo, I am committed to building a company where families feel supported, caregivers are prepared to succeed, and every part of the client experience reflects the standard of care we would want for our own loved ones.
I am dedicated to assisting families in Austin as they seek trustworthy, consistent care for their loved ones. I experienced the difficulty of finding compassionate care when my grandmother required memory care, and I wish to add love, respect, and understanding to the process that families go through when choosing care for their loved ones. Some of my favorite things to do in my personal time are playing with my cats, watching documentaries, and practicing piano!
I’m a proud mom of three boys, a grandmother, and a dog mom, so caring for others is a big part of who I am. I also help care for my father, which has given me a personal understanding of what families experience when a loved one needs more support.
I became a Care Coordinator because I enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping people feel less alone in the caregiving process. I bring patience, compassion, and a hands-on approach to my work, and I want every family to feel heard, supported, and confident in the care their loved one receives.
I’m Sir, the official mascot and morale booster of the office. My specialty is showing up right on time for pets, walks, and quiet check-ins when someone needs a reset. I take my role seriously, even if it mostly involves tail wags and making people smile.
I’ve seen firsthand how important care, patience, and consistency are, especially in a fast-moving environment. Around here, I represent the heart behind what we do. Calm presence, loyalty, and being there when it matters most.
When I’m off duty, you’ll find me exploring Austin with Imo and Maresha, supervising snack time, or keeping a close eye on my humans to make sure they don’t miss a break.
