Veteran Affairs (VA) Aid Services
Paths to Homecare Service For The Ones Who Have Served Us The Most.
Many senior veterans either do not know that there is VA funding available for long-term care services or assume they are not eligible. With over a decade of homecare experience in Chicago and its northern suburbs, our staff has supported countless veterans in the area and developed expertise in securing the funding they need to receive long-term care.
To apply for VA long-term care services, eligible veterans must meet VA eligibility requirements and be enrolled in VA health care benefits. We can help you navigate that process from the beginning or, if you already have this coverage, apply specifically for long-term care options.
How it works:
- A $500 fee is applied for qualified applicants.
- We assist with all benefits applications.
- If you are not approved, you will receive a $250 credit towards homecare services. We’ll work with you to guide you through other available options, such as long-term care insurance.
Hear it from our clients:
“I mentioned to Kathy Nichols, Chief Operating Officer of Homewatch Caregivers of Chicago North, Northshore, and Highland Park, that my husband with Alzheimers is a VA member. She took immediate action, calling the VA and securing for my husband paid hours for caregiving services. All I had to do was call the VA doctor. Kathy always goes the extra mile to benefit the client and get things done.”
