I grew up in Minnesota, moving for a few years to Southern California before returning to attend Nursing School. I graduated from College of St. Catherine with a passion for helping people in their time of need. I worked in the Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern for 5 years, before moving to a Women’s Health clinic for Allina where I was able to meet with patients and provide pregnancy education. In 2016 I made the transition to homecare, helping clients remain in their homes while providing quality care. I enjoy being able to work and collaborate with a wonderful team at Homewatch Caregivers, and feel like it is a second family. In addition to my work family, I have two ten year old children and plenty of pets to keep us busy. We enjoy our cabin during the summer and time together playing pinball in the winter.
I have worked in healthcare my whole life, starting as a CNA at my neighborhood nursing home while in high school. I have worked in sales for Allina DME, Home Care and Hospice and as Sales Director for Ebenezer Senior Living Campuses. After a short-lived retirement, I stepped into the role of Office Manager at Homewatch CareGivers, where I continue my passion for helping seniors and families find care for their loved ones. Having lived through the journey of caring for an elderly and ailing parent myself gives me insight into a family’s needs and emotions. I have two grown children and have been married for 30 year to my wonderful husband. I enjoy quilting, decorating, walking and eating sweets! I adore the team Deb has created at Homewatch CareGivers. We are here to serve not only you, but our caregivers as well.
I was born and raised in the great state of Iowa. After making the move to Minnesota as an adult, I developed my love for helping people. I worked in a group home for several years assisting clients with special needs, then as an Assistant Director for a daycare/academy where I focused on systems development and improved state surveys. After an illness of a family member, I found work in the home care industry and recently joined the Homewatch CareGivers team as the Care Coordinator. I enjoy collaborating with the nursing team in making sure each client receives appropriate and quality care by caregivers who have the right skills and personality. I have been married to my husband Mike for 25 years and have 3 children and 1 granddaughter. We enjoy our time together watching any type of sport.
Tanya was born in Minneapolis and has had a passion for nursing since she was a teenager, but it wasn’t until years later that her dream became a reality. In 2005, she opened a nail salon which was quite an accomplishment, but didn’t fulfill that nursing itch. Finally, in 2011, she became a nurse! Her first nursing position was providing footcare for people in their homes – combining her skills as a nail technician and her new nursing license. She moved from there to a Dementia care facility, focusing on clients with advanced dementia. Tanya ultimately moved on to home care so she could enjoy the variety of clients and care needs found at home. Tanya is married and has two children and two grandchildren.
