Veteran Affairs (VA) Benefits

American Veteran

There are several forms of assistance from the VA to help senior veterans afford home care, be it direct financial assistance or care services that can reduce a veteran’s overall need. It is estimated that over two million wartime veterans or their surviving spouses, are eligible for financial assistance to help pay for home care. You, or someone you love, might be one of them.

VA Aid and Attendance Pension Program
The Veterans Affairs Aid & Attendance Pension program offers families and individuals an additional method of meeting or reducing vital home care costs.

We help veterans, or their surviving spouses, apply for a little-known Department of Veterans Affairs benefit called “Aid and Attendance” that was created to help pay for assistance with the activities of daily living (ADLs).

For those who qualify for in-home care services and family care givers for respite care we are a designated service provider. We not only provide the home care service but we also take care of all the paperwork and directly bill the VA.

VA Aid and Attendance Benefit Eligibility Requirements
The Home Care Spot is committed to helping veterans who have proudly served our country, or their surviving spouses, get the benefits they deserve. We will assist you to determine if you qualify for the VA Aid & Attendance Pension Benefit.

VA Aid & Attendance Application Support
Applying for the Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit pension, with all the documentation the VA requires, can be complex, confusing and can be overwhelming for a disabled senior. We provide VA Aid and Attendance Application Support services to clients in Chicago and the North Shore Suburbs, including Cook County and Lake County in Illinois.
