Vanessa is our Client Care Coordinator who is responsible for establishing and maintaining exceptional care to our clients. She helps with the evaluation and onboarding of new clients and performs regular Quality Assurance visits.
Vanessa started working as a Home Care Aide and Administrative Assistant for Homewatch CareGivers of Castro Valley shortly after its launch. Over time, her role has evolved to focus more on administration and delivery of care, but she continues to provide care from time to time and enjoys working with clients with varying home care needs. Vanessa is a Certified Nurse Assistant and is currently working towards completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University, East Bay. Her growing skillset, and knowledge of the healthcare industry are put to good use in her role at Homewatch CareGivers. Vanessa finds working for Homewatch CareGivers a unique and meaningful experience as it allows her to not only care for people’s healthcare needs, but also serve as a friend and advocate for those she cares for.
When she is not working or studying, you may find Vanessa spending time with her loved ones, including her dogs, or exploring the outdoors on warm and sunny days.
Audrey Ursu Training CoordinatorAudrey Ursu Training Coordinator
Audrey Ursu is part of the Office Team as well as a Home Care Aide for Homewatch CareGivers at Castro Valley. Her main role is Training Coordinator which involves managing caregiver training requirements. She found herself working for Homewatch CareGivers during the Summer of 2016 between her freshman and sophomore year of college, thinking it would be a short-term position until school started back up again. However, she found the office and caregiving environment to be more rewarding than she expected, and she has stayed with the company ever since.
Audrey is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University East Bay, and has experience working with children. What she has enjoyed most about working with Homewatch CareGivers is knowing that she is able to help people receive care right in their own homes. She has also gained perspective on the healthcare needs of the population she serves, which has made her more of an advocate for health education and preventative care.
In her free time, Audrey enjoys reading a good book, volunteering in her community, being involved in her church, and spending time with loved ones.
Raul Ronquillo COO & Director of Client RelationshipsRaul Ronquillo COO & Director of Client Relationships
Raul is a Co-Owner with Lucia Ronquillo. He took early retirement in 2015 to run operations full-time as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Client Relationships. He has 20+ years working as Information Technology professional and director in the financial services industry. Raul also had a lot of hands-on experience helping with his parents’ health care and estate planning while raising his own family and working full-time.
He manages a team of compassionate and hardworking caregivers and professional office staff who are all passionate about caring for others. Raul instills a family-like environment at the office and at the clients’ homes to make it more fun to be at work or while providing companionship for their clients. Raul finds gratification in making a difference in the quality of life for the elderly by helping them age gracefully, maintain independence and live with dignity in their homes. He takes pride in hearing clients share how much they appreciate their caregivers and the exceptional care they are receiving. Receiving this kind of feedback from client and caregivers validates that the company is doing the right thing.
When Raul is not busy managing the office or helping with clients, he enjoys going on long walks or hikes for exercise and “thinking” time. Raul loves to travel with his wife, Lucia, and they are actively working on their bucket list of places to visit.
Victoria Lopez Records AdministratorVictoria Lopez Records Administrator
Victoria is part of the Office Team in the role of Records Administrator as well as a Home Care Aide. In her primary role, she is responsible for maintaining client and caregiver records.
She has experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant and customer service in front and back office settings. The skills she gained from these prior positions made her a good fit for Homewatch CareGivers of Castro Valley. While working for Homewatch CareGivers of Castro Valley, she can do what she loves in helping people live their lives to the fullest and is rewarded by their kindness.
In her spare time, she likes to go on road trips along the Pacific Coast and find new trails for walking her dog.
Deidra Kucala Care Team Lead & Office ManagerDeidra Kucala Care Team Lead & Office Manager
Deidra is our Care Team Lead and Office Manager. She is in charge of caregiver recruitment, client scheduling, and overall office administration. She was looking for a part-time job with flexible hours that would work around her family’s schedule when she found a home at Homewatch CareGivers of Castro Valley.
Deidra has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration and Management and worked as the office manager for a mental health organization at her previous job. She enjoys working at Homewatch CareGivers of Castro Valley because she feels she is being a part of something larger that makes a difference and enjoys working with a team of supportive individuals who genuinely care.
In her free time, she enjoys baking and movie nights with her family.
