About Homewatch CareGivers of Coeur d'Alene

Homewatch CareGivers of Coeur d'Alene has been serving clients in Idaho since 2009 and is the premier provider of home care services in our community.

Eric Wallentine chose to take his career in a different direction and left engineering and global marketing after 16 years to pursue his interest in starting a local, community-minded business in senior care services. He believed this would not only allow him to travel less and spend more time with his family, but to truly make an impact in the lives of people in his own community and state. Eric's education and experience in engineering and business has helped him provide innovative and cost-saving solutions to our clients and families that have saved them thousands of dollars on in-home care services. Eric currently serves on the advisory board of Friends in Action and is an instructor for their Living Well in Idaho series. Eric's favorite activities are spending time with his wife, Shanell, seven children (and two children-in-laws) and two beautiful granddaughters, taking rides on his motorcycle and attending his children's track meets and baseball games.

Nate Benjamin joined Eric soon after the opening of Homewatch CareGivers of Idaho, and was interested in focusing on finding seniors who needed help and providing exceptional care for them. Nate had previously worked in high tech conducting business throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe. Nate’s goal in switching career paths was to have a meaningful career where he would have a greater impact on the lives of people in the community. Nate has personal experience in supporting the elderly, as he helped his mother-in-law suffering with Alzheimer's disease for many years until she passed away in 2012. Nate has a passion for those who struggle with Alzheimer's and currently enjoys serving on the board of Idaho Alzheimer's Association. Nate enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, children, and granddaughter.

Eric and Nate have worked well as a team to provide the best care to seniors in need by having medically knowledgeable and well-trained CNA's. Every Caregiver who works for Homewatch CareGivers is not only a CNA, but must also pass a vigorous back ground check, and pre-employment screening.
