Maia opened Homewatch CareGivers of Goodyear to make a positive difference and offer valuable services in the South West Valley. Maia is involved with day to day business operations, but mostly enjoys building relationships with clients and their families. She believes each client deserves nothing but the best experience. Home care is very personal, every situation is unique, that’s why we offer assistance to honor each individual’s lifestyle and goals. We believe the in the philosophy of supporting each individual instead of their condition or physical needs. Maia has always been an advocate for seniors, she’s volunteered for 10 years with Meals on Wheels. Delivering meals raised her awareness to those who may be lonely or isolated. Making connections and building friendships was the highlight of my day!
Maia has a degree in Business Administration, she holds Certified Treasury Professional and Accredited ACH Professional designations. After spending over 20 years in commercial banking, finance, heading up treasury management solutions. Maia was awarded Top Woman in Finance for mentoring and team leadership. Her passion to want to make a difference in people’s lives lead her to opening Homewatch CareGivers of Goodyear.

I became a part of Homewatch CareGivers of Goodyear because I believe their mission and purpose speaks to me. I am inspired to help people any way that I can and this organization gives me that opportunity.
I am from Banbury, England and I moved to Arizona in 1997 and have lived in Surprise ever since. I completed school in England and after attending secretarial school where I then went on to do various administrative positions there. Once residing in Arizona, I worked in the medical field for almost 15 years.
I have a wonderful husband of 26 years, two amazing children, and a beautiful grandson. I have two rescue dogs and I love tending to the plants in my garden. In my free time, I love to exercise, camp, travel the world, and learn new things.

My first job ever was working for the company that the city hires to do the redlight and speed traffic cameras. My job was to review pictures and videos, edit them, capture license plates, get DMV information, and send them off to the police. I swear if you got one, it wasn't from me, I didn't work for Arizona, I did it for the east coast. I worked there for almost 3 years and left because honestly, it was boring. For the next job, I worked for Solana at the park, which i loved. Solana is an assisted living facility. Basically a really fancy hotel with caregivers and nurses. I started at the front desk and then worked as the business office manager. I did a lot of the interviews, the hiring, the scheduling, I helped a lot with selling apartments, I took care of all the invoices and billing, all that kind of stuff. Then my friend that worked at Solana with me ended up going to Discover Financial Services, who was offering a lot more, and I decided to go with her. I have worked there for the past year and a half doing loans. It has been a super educational experience for me. I have learned things in finance that I would have never known had I not worked there but it's time for me to get back into the industry I enjoy.
I'm 25 years old, I have 2 fur babies, and I have been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years. My most favorite things to do during the week are to watch the bachelor/bachelorette, go shopping, and go to church with my family and friends. I also really love to travel, specifically road trips. Last fun fact, I have never been allowed to color my hair weird colors until I got my job at discover. My natural hair color is blonde, but I went through a little bit of a rebellion moment and it got so uneven, I turned it all almost black to get it all the same color again.
Briefly describe why you became a part of Homewatch CareGivers
I decided to become part of Homewatch CareGivers because I belive I can make a true difference hopefully for everyone that works there. My goal is to make everyone's work life run much smoother and easier. I hope to work very closely with everyone on their schedules so that we can all work together and make it work for everyone. Team work makes the dream work and I truly believe that and I'm super excited to join this team!

Douglas Bachmeier is the Community Outreach Coordinator; he helps raise awareness and connect those looking for extra help with daily activities find dependable service. Douglas has his degree in Business Management. He is businessman for over 25 years with management experience in everything from Open-pit Mining, General Contracting, and Commercial logistic ownership. Managing and starting new companies taught him the importance of providing personalized services and building lasting relationships. Douglas was an Aerospace Machinist with computer programing before he decided to move into business ownership future!
