I am Rhett Gillins, the owner of Homewatch CareGivers of West Ashley. I have a passion for caring for others and I started this business to help fuel that passion. I always found joy in supporting people to improve their quality of life.

As a child, I took it upon myself to visit the widow ladies who lived near me. There were 3 total who lived within a block of myself and I visited them regularly. One of the ladies made an impression on me, Theo. Theo was my favorite that I visited constantly. I got to know her and my love for caring for others began here. She lived by herself and appreciated the company and I felt a strong desire to accompany her. My favorite memory, that even her family still brings up, is that I went on a walk with her and as she walked outside, with her house slippers and poor vision, I was too concerned with leaving her yard because I feared that the gravel outside her house had stickers. I stopped, inspected the gravel, and decided to turn back to the house. I took her care seriously and I wanted to assure her that she was safe.

Our goal is to take the care you need seriously and to make sure that you are safe. Choosing a caregiving agency isn’t always easy, but we strive to provide the quality care that matches the needs you have. Homewatch CareGivers of West Ashley is dedicated to YOUR needs every step of the way. We are committed to finding compassionate caregivers who share this same ideology to provide you with the care you deserve.

I have spent my entire adult career in the restaurant industry, but this sense of care and helping others always lived inside of me. I want to create something that is rewarding and helps serve the community. I will always ask, “Will this be the kind of care that would have improved Theo’s quality of life?” when helping your loved one.

Our goal is to provide you or your loved ones a peace of mind with our individualized approach to care.
