August is National Immunization Awareness Month

The National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) is coordinating NIAM activities throughout the month of August to highlight the value of getting immunized against serious diseases. August 14-20, 2017 is the week that focuses on adult immunizations. Learn more about immunizations for flu, shingles, hepatitis and other illnesses for different risk groups on the NPHIC website. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also has a toolkit and details on immunizations for other age groups.
