Requirements vary depending upon the needs of the client. Generally, we look for a professional certification and at least 3 years of experience. We prefer that you have a cell phone and reliable transportation.
The job coach will provide training and support to the individual with disabilities while on the job. The job coach helps the individual remain employed by providing on the job training, supervision, monitoring and reporting as well as any training directed by the employer. Help maintain a positive working environment for the individual while fostering relationships with co-workers and management.
High school diploma or G.E.D. Proficient with computers and programs such as Microsoft Office. Prior experience working with individual's with developmental disabilities (DD) DD Experience and job coach training can be obtained through Homewatch CareGivers. Job coach experience preferred. Current Ohio driver's license. Must have a clean criminal and abuser record.
Homewatch CareGivers is looking for high energy people to work with persons with developmental disabilities. If you like variety, this is the job for you. We have cases ranging from teaching everyday living skills to taking persons out in the community to parks, movies, restaurants. You will be working one-on-one in the home with a plan to increase independence and quality of life.
