National Caregivers Appreciation Day is celebrated on the third Friday each February; this year observed on February 18th, a perfect time of the yearto show appreciation to caregivers who assist our most vulnerable citizens. We want to let them know they are making a big difference in the lives of others. On this day we take the time to honor our caregivers who provide personal care and physical and emotional support to those who need it.
We at Homewatch CareGivers celebrate our home health aides who make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families, every day. Our caregivers fill multiple roles in the lives of their clients:
Friend, companion, safety supervisor, mobility assistant, chef, driver, organizer, scheduler, reminder, housekeeper, personal care provider, confidante, devotee, among others. Many are thought of as members of the family. Laurence Aronson, Homewatch CareGivers of South Orange owner shared, “Our caregivers are, and have always been, the backbone of our agency.
